The third annual Cougar New Tech Expo (CNT) was held at Colleton County High School on Thursday, March 11, 2016. With approximately 280 students enrolled in CNT, the halls and classrooms were filled with projects showcasing the work completed by the students.

Cougar New Tech, started in 2013 under the leadership of Dr. Melissa Crosby, was created to “expose students to a modern and innovative style of learning to better prepare them for the world ahead.” The CNT students utilize project and problem based learning, which provides the students with more opportunities for hands-on learning based on trust, respect and responsibility.

Promotions for the CNT Expo were handled by the advertising class of Mrs. Connor. Greeters for the Expo were George Crosby, Kwasi Kirkland and Vincent Wright. Tech Support was offered by Myasia Ancrum, Cheyenne Rivers and Kyia Brown. April Wright and Destiny Dobison were responsible for guest services for the evening, while Aimee Ackerman was the timekeeper for the sessions.

Kyle Gluck, Jerry Pishgar, Zach Darrow, Kenny Johnson and Ernest Rivers handled the photography and videography for the Expo. Tyleeyah Hutchinson, Maxwell Horvath, Tiara Garrett, Caleb Stroble and Matt Scites helped with set-up and break-down.
