25-year-old gets 10 years for criminal sexual conduct | Court | The Press and Standard

James E. Garvin IV, 25, of Walterboro, pled guilty to a charge of criminal sexual conduct, was ordered to serve two years of a 12-year prison term and then spend five years on probation when he appeared in Colleton County General Sessions Court last week.
Garvin was charged with fondling a seven-year-old boy.
 Shawn Hill, 37, of Walterboro, pled guilty to a charge of participation in preparation of obscene material, was given a suspended one-year prison term with credit for time served and placed on probation for four years.
Hill was charged with enticing a 16-year-old girl to take a nude picture of herself and send it to him.
  Michael A. Brown, 46, of Yemassee, pled guilty to a charge of having contraband in jail, was given a suspended three-year prison term with credit for time served and placed on two years’ probation.
He was charged with having a cell phone, cigarettes, a white substance believed to be cocaine and a green substance believed to be marijuana in his cell at the detention center.
  Darla Mae Carter-Gonding, 53, of Walterboro, pled guilty to a charge of shoplifting with an enhancement based on previous shoplifting convictions, was given a suspended four-year prison term with credit for time served and was placed on 30 months probation.
  Roger Tyrone Seabrook, 31, of Ruffin, plead guilty to a charge of receiving stolen goods, was given a suspended three-year prison term with credit for time served and placed on probation for two years.
  Lennon Colleton, 47, of Walterboro, pled guilty to a charge of unlawful use of a telephone and was given a suspended 30-day jail term with credit for time served.

CORRECTION
The March 24 court reports contained an error. The following should have read:
Matthew A. Wolf, 21, of Walterboro, pled guilty to a charge of failure to stop for a blue light and was ordered to pay a $500 fine.
