The 2016 application for Coastal Community Foundation’s Scholarship Program is now available. College-bound high school seniors in Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton and Dorchester counties can find the application at
Students are asked to complete their application online via the web-based program SmarterSelect. Students will be prompted to create an online account and will be able to login to complete their application as many times as they need to until the deadline. In completing one application, students become eligible for all CCF scholarships for which they qualify. Scholarship applications will be accepted by Coastal Community Foundation until March 16.
By that date, the application must be complete, including recommendations, transcript and guidance counselor information, so students will need to ask recommenders and guidance counselors to complete that information well in advance of the deadline.
Last year, Coastal Community Foundation awarded $306,000 in scholarships to 129 students from 76 different funds.
