Coach Perry Smalls received some good news this week when he learned that freshman forward Jasmine Stanley has been selected to the all-region team.  She has also been nominated for the all-state team.
Stanley becomes the first freshman Cougar player to be named all-region in over six years.
For the year, the freshman averaged 22.5 points per game, 14 rebounds per game and over five steals a game.
Coach Smalls said, “Jasmine is a hard worker and the effort she put forth on the floor did not go unnoticed, as she received this well deserved honor.  She plans to play AAU basketball during the summer to work on individual skills in order to improve her game next year.”
