“So far this season we have been up and down when it comes to the confidence level. It really has an impact on how we perform on the court. I’m trying to teach them this game is mental,” said Coach Branshea Brown.
“Overall though, I’m proud of this group of girls. I have a few that have never played basketball, and the rest haven’t really played organized basketball.
“I have thrown a lot of knew things at them and they are starting to learn that fundamentals are the key to being successful basketball players. Fundamentals will make them competitive players at the varsity level,” Brown said.
“Our focus is definitely defense and making lay-ups. We have three games left, and these girls are working hard. We are all excited to see what happens next but also wishing the next two weeks go by slowly,” she said.
