Ruffin man gets prison term | Court | The Press and Standard

A Ruffin man was sent to prison for three years after he pled guilty to a variety of charges during his appearance in Colleton County General Sessions Court last week.

Nicholas Green, 22, of Ruffin, pled guilty to failure to stop for a blue light, financial transaction card theft, second-degree domestic violence and breaking into a motor vehicle.

The criminal offenses occurred between Sept. 27, 2015 and Nov. 16, 2015.

In the financial transaction card theft and breaking into a motor vehicle charges, Green was ordered to serve three years of concurrent five-year prison terms and then four years on probation.

The domestic violence and failure to stop for a blue light charges drew concurrent three-year prison terms.

 Robert F. Brown Jr., 19, of Walterboro, pled guilty to a robbery charge and was ordered to spend up to six years in custody under the state’s Youthful Offender Act and then three years on probation.

 Samuel Campbell, 31, of Round O, pled guilty to charges of receiving stolen goods and possession of a controlled substance, was ordered to serve two years of concurrent five-year prison terms and then spend three years on probation.

 William A. Hoff Jr., 29, of Lodge, pled guilty to a charge of manufacture of methamphetamine, was given a suspended five-year prison term and placed on probation for three years.

 David Robert Smith, 31, of Walterboro, pled guilty to a charge of grand larceny, was given a suspended three-year prison term and placed on probation for four years.

 Theodore L Rhodes Jr., 49, of Rowesville, pled guilty to pass a bad check, was given a suspended two-year prison term and placed on probation for three years.

 Ashley N. Murdaugh, 31, of Smoaks, pled guilty to a charge of receiving stolen goods worth $10,000 or more and was sentenced to 30 months in prison.

 David Lee Johnson, Jr., 35, of Walterboro, pled guilty to a charge of sale of crack cocaine and was sentenced to one year in prison.

 Bonny Schuler, 36, of Walterboro, pled guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to 90 days in jail.

 Rame’Re Devonte Wilson, 20, of Ridgeland, pled guilty to a charge of unlawful carrying of a pistol and was sentenced to 30 days in jail.

 Bryant T. Scriven, 36, of Walterboro, pled guilty to two counts of forgery and was given suspended two-year prison terms and placed on probation for two years.

 Angie A. Thames, 42, of Harleyville, pled guilty to charges of financial transaction card theft, use of a motor vehicle without permission and financial transaction card fraud and was given suspended three-year prison terms and placed on probation for three years.

 Willie Gene Manker, 23, of Walterboro, pled guilty to two counts of third-degree domestic violence and was sentenced to time served.

 Jason M. Benton, 44, of Walterboro, pled guilty to a charge of first-degree assault and battery and was sentenced to time served.

 Elizabeth Carerra, 30, of St. George, pled guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to time served.

 John Todd Terry Jr., 27, of Round O, pled guilty to a charge of third-degree burglary and was sentenced to time served.

 Rodney Oneal Mills, 46, of Walterboro, pled guilty to a charge of third-degree domestic violence and was sentenced to time served.
