The Colleton County High School Cougars had a rough trip to Fort Dorchester last week, coming up short in an 80-53 loss to the Patriots.

“We just have to take better care of the ball,” said Coach Simmons.  “We get up, then turn the ball over like pouring out water — it’s the simple things that are hurting us. We will take the next few days and go correct the short comings that are hindering us.”

The Cougars were led by D. Ferguson with 11 points followed by Nyheem Green 11 points and Victor Payne with 7 points.

The J.V. Cougars defeated Fort Dorchester by a score of 47-35 to run their record to 7-2.

The Cougars were led by Tyler Grant with 11 points, with Steffon Denmark adding 10 points and Bruce Benjamin chipping in 8.

The Cougar Wrestling team traveled to Bluffton to take on the Bobcats.

The Cougars found themselves on the short end of the match with a 34-22 loss.

CCHS got wins from Jam Bryant in the 106-pound class; Caleb O’Quinn in the 126-pound class; Tim Pressley in the 138-pound class; and Tyrese Pressey in the 170-pound class.
