Recently, Laura Clark’s fourth period Social Entrepreneur Class raised money for St. Jude’s Episcopal Church’s annual Thanksgiving dinner. The fundraiser included paracord bracelets and paracord key chains, all made by the students. In 11 days, Oct. 16-Nov. 3, the students raised $305 by selling the products during their lunches. In order to complete this achievement, they had to work diligently as a team. On Nov. 23, the students presented the check to Gale Doggette and Diane Mathews. The money was enough to feed approximately 166 people for Thanksgiving. “The students have achieved a big goal and had the opportunity to learn how to be productive in raising money for a great cause,” Clark said.
